WELCOME TO ART HOLIDAYS IN DORSET HOT NEWS PAGE!
2020 brochure (printed pre lockdown and so dates no longer accurate but useful for prices and course descriptions)
Hello again – we’ve missed you! We re-opened in October 2020 and were delighted to see all those who came to the three breaks and had an enjoyable and safe time. And now we are in Lockdown again and so we have rescheduled dates as you can see in the list in blue below.
Otherwise, we attach below a list (in pink) of rescheduled courses which have availability on them.
Also below are details of how we will do all we can to keep you safe while you are with us. It will be a “New Normal” but we can still have fun!
Rescheduled dates – if you are booked to come on any of these titles your booking has been transferred to the new date which we hope is good for you. If not please do get in touch, either by email email@example.com or by phone 01202 393234 and we will do our best to find a solution. The past few months have been a journey but we’re excited at the prospect of seeing you again when we re-open on 2nd October 2020.
Before October courses begin we are required to put measures in place to make your environment as safe as possible when you are here. This will be a partnership between you, your fellow painters and us and we set out below the changes you will see when we welcome you to the “New Normal” here. As the months pass it may be that some of these measures can be relaxed.
What we have done before your arrival
Deep cleaned all bedrooms and en suite bathrooms
Sanitised your room key and outer door key
Disinfected all high-touch areas such as light switches, door handles and bannisters and will do this regularly throughout your stay.
Put in place hand sanitising stations throughout the hotel
Installed plexiglass screens in the studio between painters and in the dining room between diners
On the day before you arrive, we will take you through a short set of questions to ensure that you are well and safe to come on holiday. Reconfigured the studio and dining room to allow for social spacing
On your arrival
There is a short video on the home page which will let you see how your arrival will go and the newly configured studio and diningroom. We will take your temperature and ask you to sanitise your hands. If your temperature is 37.7 or above we regret that we can not let you into the hotel. We would advise you to take your temperature before leaving home to avoid a possible immediate return journey. If you come as a group we would ask that you approach from the hotel car park one at a time to allow for safety procedures.
Your luggage will be sprayed and put outside your room
What we ask you to do to help everyone keep safe
To wear a face covering while with other guests and in common areas. We will wear visors and masks when we are with you
Once you have chosen your place in the studio we would ask you not to change it
Please bring your own board and water pot(s) for painting and, if required, your own cushion.
Not to share equipment and or enter each other’s rooms
To regularly wash or sanitise your hands
Be mindful of social spacing
We are all having to adapt and accept change so here are a few alterations to the previous routine we now have to make
No-contact room cleaning is recommended so no-one will enter your room once you have arrived until you leave. If you would like anything refreshed or changed please just let us know and we’ll leave it outside your room. We do hope this might change.
Meals will be served in the dining room at tables accommodating 2 or 3 people. John’s cooking will prevail as will wine and soft drinks. However we must now give each guest their own condiments and cutlery is to be wrapped in a napkin for each guest. There will be no shared vegetable dishes and food will be fully plated up in the kitchen. Wine and soft drinks will be brought to you on request.
The use of the lounge in the evening will be fine as long as we all remember to make sure distancing is working but we feel sure you are up to managing that! See you soon.
